Daisy Mae was only 5 months old when she arrived at the shelter, but she had less than a 20% chance to live past the age of 2 years old due to a congenital heart defect.
Dear Friend, When Daisy Mae and her litter mate, Sampson, arrived at the shelter as strays, the staff were hopeful an owner was looking for them. These young and playful puppies surely had a family missing them dearly.
...but no one came.
Even though no one came looking for them, they were never alone. Staff, volunteers, and our caring community who followed the shelter's found animals posts were with them. As the shelter assessed their medical condition, Daisy Mae was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect and Sampson needed eyelid surgery. Donors like YOU made it possible for these young puppies to get the surgery they needed so they can live healthy and happy lives!
Will you help more pets like Daisy Mae and Sampson?
In the few seconds it takes to send your gift, you give a homeless pet years of a happy, healthy life with a family to call their own. Sending your gift now will make all the difference for one of the many dogs, cats, rabbits and other small animals waiting at DuPage County Animal Services.
