Maximize your donation dollars with this unique campaign to help homeless cats and dogs in the care of DuPage County Animal Care & Control.
Your donation of $25 will provide one cat at DCACC with a full cage makeover AND your full donation will go directly to help fund dog park agility equipment for the outdoor dog pens!
You are wondering, “How can my donation can stretch that far?” Well, you are going to love this story of how one dedicated and crafty volunteer's generosity, along with your support now, can create so much wonderfulness for the homeless animals in our community!
Biscuit Barb has been volunteering at DuPage County Animal Care & Control for 13 years. Barb, a retired nurse, loves all animals, but has a special place in her heart for the dear DCACC cats that are in need of families. Throughout the week, you can see Barb in action caring for the adoption cats and helping adopters find the right cat for them. Without question, Barb is a DCACC community treasure!
In addition to volunteering at the shelter, Barb has been making cat and dog beds to benefit the animals in the care of the county. Barb buys all the materials herself and dedicates her time and talent to creating beautiful and plush beds. She selflessly donates her creations to DCACC, and 100% of the proceeds go to the lifesaving, compassionate and innovative initiatives at the shelter.
Note: You can stop by the animal shelter at any time during business hours to see the variety of sizes and styles of pet beds available! Bring home a bed for your pet and know that your donation benefits the shelter animals directly!
This year, Biscuit Barb will not be a vendor at the September 17th Fall Festival. Instead, we worked with her to create this online 'Cat Cage Makeover' fundraiser! Her beautiful and comfy cat beds are ready to be placed in the cat adoption room... and this is where YOU come in.
Your donation today helps both the homeless cats & dogs.
With your help, this fundraiser will provide the cats waiting to be adopted with fresh new cat beds, towels and toys! Our fundraising goal for the Fall Festival on September 17th is to fund dog park agility equipment for the outdoor pens. What this means is that your FULL donation here today will be earmarked to pay for the dog park equipment!
This is what you can do to help:
We have 17 cat cages to make over.
And we have dog park agility equipment to purchase to help keep the dogs’ bodies and minds active while they wait for their forever families. We know we can count on you to help us achieve this goal.
Choose one of the icons below. You can either make a direct monetary donation or choose a cat bed from the store to donate today. Your gift is appreciated by the animal caretaker staff, volunteers and, of course, the animals. Thank you for your generosity and for teaming with us to help homeless animals!
Make a difference in the life of a homeless pet in DuPage County.
The mission of DuPage Animal Friends is to strengthen the lifesaving, compassionate and innovative initiatives at the county shelter. We partner with the shelter to understand the needs of our community's animals, providing financial resources and advocacy on their behalf.
