You can help our animals by DOUBLING your impact when you donate to our DuPage Human Race Fundraising page because REX AND JAKE ARE GOING TO MATCH YOUR GIFT, UP TO $2000! Yes, these are two adorable fluff balls that own a pair of humans that want to help our animals benefit from this charity challenge. They believe every animal should have a chance to be spoiled like them. Effective TODAY, every donation that comes in gets DOUBLED.
Join DuPage Animal Friends on May 6th for the annual DuPage Human Race! During the last five years, almost 7,000 community members have supported 136+ charities and organizations to raise $35,000.
Sign up to run or walk with us in this wonderful community event held in Downers Grove on May 6th.
Last year, DuPage Animal Friends raised $1,000 to fund medical equipment to benefit animals with critical medical conditions. (Read our lifesaving stories!)
By teaming with DuPage Animal Friends on May 6th, you will make a difference in the lives of homeless pets in the care of DuPage County. As an open admission shelter, DCACC will never turn away an animal in need.
Paulie, an eight-year-old senior pet, was one of those animals. He found himself placed in the shelter after his owner passed away in 2014. In other shelters with far fewer resources, Paulie may not have made it to the adoption floor. Thankfully at DCACC, age is not seen as a disease and resources were available to give Paulie his second chance at a happy and healthy life.
Paulie was adopted by two first-time dog owners, Cathy and Rich. All three of their lives have benefited from each other’s company. Your impact doesn’t disappear when an animal is adopted.
Your impact touches several lives, beyond the pet’s, for far longer.
You can join Paulie’s team, “Paulie’s Pals,” or start your own fundraising page on the DuPage Human Race sign-up page. Charity race awards go to the top fundraising organization ($500) and the most race participants ($300), so we need your help to win these extra prizes on behalf of DuPage's homeless animals. There is strong competition among the charities, so sign up today!
Our ambitious goal this year is to raise $5000. Together, let’s aim to be the top fundraising organization!
Traditionally, DuPage Animal Friends' biggest fundraiser is the gala held every Spring. We will not be holding the gala this year. All efforts have been focused on the DuPage Human Race. If you normally attend the gala, we ask you to change from your dress shoes into running shoes or consider making a donation to our team!
Get competitive, friends! We need your help to make this event a success for DuPage's shelter pets.
P.S. You may select one of the fundraisers, Paulie's Pals or The Space Cat when you donate today! Rex and Jake will match your gift! THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROSITY!
Make a difference in the life of a homeless pet in DuPage County.
The mission of DuPage Animal Friends is to strengthen the lifesaving, compassionate and innovative initiatives at the county shelter. We partner with the shelter to understand the needs of our community's animals, providing financial resources and advocacy on their behalf.
