DuPage Animal Friends (a.k.a. Friends of DuPage County Animal Care & Control Foundation) is an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charitable organization.

Our mission is to strengthen the lifesaving, compassionate and innovative initiatives at the county shelter. We partner with the shelter to understand the needs of our community's animals, providing financial resources and advocacy on their behalf.

Generous pet-loving donors like you support the great work of DuPage County Animal Services. We simply connect the dots between YOU, our valued donor, and saving animals' lives.

Kitten Gus Gus found his perfect match.

The programs funded by DuPage Animal Friends includes:

Subsidizing adoption programs: 50% Subsidization of all adoptable adult cats and partial subsidized fees for harder to place animals such as bonded pairs, seniors or animals with medical disclosures.

Funding of urgent medical care: Animals that would be otherwise euthanized due to lack of resources to fund expensive procedures now have a second chance to be treated and eventually enter the adoption program or go to rescue.

Purchasing of equipment and supplies: DuPage Animal Friends funds purchases of surgical equipment, enrichment items, educational materials and other various needs that the current shelter budget doesn’t allow for.

I
mprovements to the shelter facility: DuPage Animal Friends contributed substantially to the completed renovation project in 2016. The upgrades included a state of the HVAC system, fire suppression system, noise abatement, a new epoxy flake flooring, skylights to provide natural lighting in the kennels, cat cage portholes and kennel vertical doors so the animals will have more room to roam during their stay, and replacement of other outdated equipment in the kennel areas.
