Subsidized Adoption Funding

In an effort to help animals move more quickly into their new homes, DuPage Animal Friends offers several ongoing and limited-time subsidized adoption programs throughout the year. ​Adoption programs help find homes for harder-to-place pets, such as senior pets and bonded pairs, as well as when the shelter is full. Just look at all the ways your support gives animals a second chance at life!

Senior Adoption Fund
Assists senior dogs and cats with finding a forever home where they can live out their golden years.

Extended Stay Fund
Helps dogs and cats waiting on the adoption floor for 30 days or longer find their forever homes sooner.

Foster to Forever Fund
Allows a foster to adopt an animal they have directly fostered. This is a way of thanking them for their lifesaving efforts.

Bonded Pair Adoption Fund
Makes it possible for a bonded dog or cat pair to find their forever home TOGETHER!

Small Animal Adoption Fund
​Makes adopting a small animal more appealing than purchasing one from a pet store.

Medical Disclosure Fund
Helps any animal with a chronic or ongoing medical condition that requires ongoing treatment, medication or special diet.

Senior Feline Adoption Fund
​Gives much needed assistance to cats 10+ years by making it possible for them to be adopted.

Feline Adoption Fund
​Helps adult cats compete with kittens and find new homes more quickly.

DuPage County Animal Care & Control is the only immediate open admission shelter in the western suburbs and cannot refuse any animal brought through its doors.

​This makes adoption critically important as it not only saves the life of the animal going home, but the life of another animal arriving at the shelter in need of its cage.

For harder to place animals, DuPage Animal Friends will subsidize the fees to encourage adopters to give these animals a closer look. Thank you for your continued life-saving support!
